Mortice have been a huge support to Imperial War Museum, leading the charge on sustainability and helping to embed it into every facet of the organisation. Leading on the creation of our sustainability strategy, Ben consistently helps the sector through networking, connecting people and knowledge sharing by creating collaborative forums and events.
Working with Leah and Ben from Mortice Consulting on the design and delivery of the new Environmental Risks & Management sessions for museums across the North of England was fantastic. They managed to take our initial idea for an online programme and develop it into a series of sessions designed around the needs of museums in the area. The programme supported participants to develop their understanding of the current and future impacts of climate-related environmental risks to their buildings, collections, workforce and communities to help think about how to plan, mitigate and adapt to climate change. This programme was a key strand in our National Lottery Heritage funded Future Preparedness Programme and though a challenging topic, Leah and Ben created a positive and peer supportive environment for those involved.
The bespoke training package was developed to an exceptionally high standard which Leah delivered in an engaging and interactive way, making a heavy and complex subject easy to understand by all. Mortice Consulting has been professional, organised and supportive throughout the process and has enabled IWM to successfully achieve it’s carbon literacy goals.
